2010 Middendorf Insurance Bags Tournament
Help support the Clive Public Library by participating in the 2010 Middendorf Insurance Bags Tournament. Doubles compete in a bracket style tournament. $20 entry fee per team, 1st Place team wins $200. 100% of your entry fee goes to the Clive Library. Registration and entry fee must be received by 7/13/10. Read on for further details.

Location: Clive Festival – Clive Aquatic Center
Rules
· 2-person teams
· Maximum of 40 Teams
· $20 entry fee per team
· 100% of entry fee goes to the Clive Library
· $200 – 1st Place Team $100 – 2nd Place Team
· No Refunds due to inclement weather
· Sweet door prizes will be drawn for during tournament
· Pop/Beer available for purchase
· Not an Official ACA Tournament

Official Rules
· Doubles Play –
o One member of each team throws from one board and the other members throw from the other board.
o Opposing players alternate shot
o The team that scored last, throws first. If neither scores, the team who threw last in the preceding round shall throw first.
o First to 21 points wins the game
§ Do not have to hit 21 points exactly.
§ If no winner after 20 minutes, teams will play rally scoring for 10 minutes or until a team gets to 21 or above, whichever comes first.
o Championship match will be best of 3 series.
· Scoring –
o 3-Points – bag through hole on platform
o 2-Points – bag hangs over the edge of hole in platform but still on top of platform
o 1-Point – bag on platform
o Cancellation Scoring – Points of the lower scoring team are subtracted from the points of the higher scoring team in a round. If Team A scores 7 points and Team B scores 5, Team A scored 2 points in that round.
· Single Elimination
· There will be judges on hand in case something else comes up.
Please remember this is fundraiser for the Clive Public Library. It is meant just to be a fun charity event. We understand everyone plays different rules to this game. However, these are the rules we thought were most universal.
