Health Care Reform
Here are a few updates from the Health Care Reform Law that was recently signed by President Obama.
As Most of us know, the US House of Representatives and Senate passed a bill with massive reform for our health care system. President Obama signed into law and some of the changes are about to take effect.
Starting October 1, 2010 we can expect a few changes. The most beneficial of which there will no longer be pre-existing condition exclusions for dependents under the age of 19. Keeping with the dependent coverage theme, coverage will be also be mandated for dependents up to age 26.
One more of the changes we will see as of October 1, 2010 is no lifetime benefit limits on our policies. Also, preventative benefits will now be covered without cost sharing obligations. Lastly, coverage for emergency services will be at in-network cost sharing level with no prior-authorization required.
These are a few of the changes taking effect in the near future. There will be many more changes over the next few years. We at Middendorf Insurance will do our best to keep you informed. Please check back here in the future for updates on health care reform.
